Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp neutral oil
- 2 cups long grain white rice
- 4 cups water
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 2 Tbsp chicken or vegetable bullion powder
- 1.5 cups water
Instructions
- Add oil to a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Add uncooked rice, stirring continually until rice is toasted.
- Stir in 4 cups water, tomato sauce, and bullion.
- Return to boil and leave uncovered 10 minutes.
- Stir in 1.5 cups water and return to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer 10 minutes.
- Turn off heat and leave in place, covered for 20 minutes.
